MATRIX CHAT clients are planned to support familiar secure-messaging workflows. Feature availability may differ during private beta, so check the release notes before relying on a specific client feature.
Message content is designed around Signal Protocol end-to-end encryption. MATRIX CHAT stores selected short-lived server data on active RAM disk so it does not become routine persistent storage. Verify safety information out of band for high-risk conversations.
Confirm internet access, the correct phone-number format, SMS availability, correct system time, and the latest client version. Restart the client before re-registering. Do not repeatedly request verification codes, because rate limits may temporarily delay another attempt.
Treat a new device as a new trust event. Re-check linked devices, verify important contacts again, and remove access from hardware you no longer control. Never share registration codes or recovery material with support staff.
